The Royal 559 Academy coaching staff is comprised of professional coaches with vast and diverse levels of experience, ranging from elite high school and club levels to international and US National Team experience. Our coaches pride themselves in being great role models, mentors and students of the game. They are committed to the holistic mission of the Royal 559 Academy focused on athletes, coaches, and parents.
KATE KAMMER
Royal 559 is extremely lucky to have Kate Kammer join the staff. She will be heading up our 18U Girls program. Kate is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, where she studied Kinesiology.
A starter all four years at Troy HS, Kate gained all-league, all-county and all-Southern California honors during her senior and junior year campaigns. As a club athlete, she competed for the Huntington Beach Water Polo Club, where in 2011 she helped her 16U girls win a national championship.
Twice an Academic All-American at CSU, Northridge, Kate helped guide the Matadors to a number of program milestones, including wins over UC Davis and Long Beach State, as well as leading her team to a Big West Conference Tournament semi-final in 2015 against the University of Hawaii. Kate also serves as an assistant coach for Fresno State women's water polo team.
