Assistant Coach

​The Royal 559 Academy coaching staff is comprised of professional coaches with vast and diverse levels of experience, ranging from elite high school and club levels to international and US National Team experience. Our coaches pride themselves in being great role models, mentors and students of the game. They are committed to the holistic mission of the Royal 559 Academy focused on athletes, coaches, and parents.

ERIK BROWN

Played three seasons of varsity water polo at Buchanan High School for head coach Nic Maes...member of back-to-back CIF Valley Champion teams...named Team Captain and an Outstanding Performer. Played for Clovis Water Polo Club under Nic Maes for six years with many high-level finishes at Junior Olympics.
After graduating from Buchanan High School in 2014 Erik decided to play at Fresno Pacific University as a Sunbird where he has started for three years and earned academic honors through the ACWPC All-Academic Team and the WWPA All-Academic Team. Erik captained the team his senior year along with Royal coaches Garrett Pickford and Kyle Eoff. Erik coached for a brief stint during his senior year of high school and is excited to bring in four years of college experience to the Royal Water Polo Club.
