DREW CLUTE
Drew Clute is the Technical Director and Founder of Royal 559 Water Polo Academy. Coach Clute brings over a decade of coaching experience that highlights his capability to build both successful teams and programs.
Prior to Royal 559, Drew served as an assistant coach for SOCAL Water Polo U18 Boys team. In 2012, this team won a US National Club Championship and finished 5th place overall Junior Olympics.
From 2007-2011, Drew headed up the boy's water polo and swimming programs at Pitman HS (Turlock, Ca.). During this time, the Pride's overall and conference records improved each year, finishing top 3 in conference 3 out of 4 years. In 2011, The Pride qualified for CIF-CS playoffs for only the second time in program history.
Team USA In 2014, Drew was named to the Men's Cadet National Team coaching staff as an assistant coach. In 2014 and 2015 Coach Clute helped lead teams to 7th and 5th place overall finishes at the Darko Cucic Memorial Cup (Serbia). In 2016, Team USA finished second overall at the UANA Games in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. In 2017, he was named Head Coach of the US Men's Development National Team.
